The La Presse de Montreal newspaper has put paid to suggestions that the Canadian Grand Prix will not be cancelled by printing a photocopy of the letter which the organisers of the Canadian GP have received from the Legal Department of Formula One Management, dated June 12, which states that: "We write to advise you that the Canadian Grand Prix will not be included on the 2004 FIA Formula One World Championships calendar pending the outcome of various issues.
"In the event that the Canadian Grand Prix is not included in the calendar for next year the provisions of clause 26.2 of the promoters agreement will apply.''
The two-paragraph letter does not give further details about what is in Clause 26.2 of the contract.
Normand Legault, the race promoter refused to release the letter.
